Research Program in Dairy Cattle Reproduction 

Dr. Fricke’s research focuses on understanding the biology and endocrine physiology underlying the many reproductive problems presented by high-producing dairy cows. The goal of Dr. Fricke’s research program is to develop practical reproductive management strategies to help dairy farmers maintain the maximal number of cows in their herds producing milk at optimal levels.

Since 1998, Dr. Fricke has mentored 9 M.S. students, 4 Ph.D. students, 2 postdoctoral research associates, and has hosted 3 visiting scientists at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
